Portals

Inspired by Star Trek's "All Our Yesterdays". I used Lightwave to bring together 6 of my Vue d'Esprit renders into one sort of "meta" wallpaper.

The images are (from left to right):

"Extrasolar",
"The Beginning of the End",
"The Fisherman",
"Planitia",
"Tropical Moon of Thetis", and
"Phraxis Moon":,

This piece is dedicated to my Father, who had a fatal accident in Jan 2012.   He was a huge Star Trek fan.    I know you are out there somewhere Dad...

Thanks for looking!

Every single one of those portals is absolutely gorgeous and I love that faint glow they cast down on the floor.

Looking over this, there's a really grand feeling to the whole thing.  It think it's the scale of the room and the portals along with the remote look of the place.  You get the impression the person standing before the openings must have traveled an impossibly long way just to get here.

I've checked out the original individual pictures you used for this and the colors are the same. Then I saw all the other stuff you have done. Yow! At first I thought you had just changed the colors on some recent pics to get the spectrum you wanted, but you used art from a significant period of time to get what you wanted. Effing amazing.
And thanks for the context of your father.  Very cool.
